Church of Christ McDermott Road

HH Architects designed this facility as part of a Master Plan, for a congregation that was conceived as a “planted” church from within the Waterview Church of Christ.  The building location is on a 13-acre parcel and high point for the surrounding area and is designed to facilitate rapid growth and become a landmark facility for this expanding community. With little funds, but grand ideas of developing a future campus, the Owner desired a facility that was philosophically based on emulating the simple, but majestic first century church in a modern society and the building expresses “Old World” style elements translated in a modern contemporary design solution, including the use of interior and exterior stone walls, heavy timber trusses and stained-glass dormer windows.
