First Baptist Church Covington wanted to create a space that not only helped solve their issue of rapid growth and ever-changing needs of the community, but also to provide a place where the congregation and surrounding community could build life-changing relationships. With the addition of a new 180,000 SF Worship, Education, and Commons Expansion, First Baptist Church Covington exceeded their needs. The new Worship Center seats 2,350, includes a choice room, hospitality spaces, AVL production suites, green rooms and workshops. The education addition now has classrooms for nursery through sixth grade, large assembly spaces for worship and teaching, an indoor play space, offices and resource rooms. Tying the campus together is the new commons which makes three connection points to the existing building, providing increased circulation. Outdoor courtyards adorn the campus as well as a new entry plaza that includes an outdoor baptistry with enhanced landscaping and lighting.
