Grace Church Frisco is a relocation project for a church located in the Frisco area of the DFW Metroplex just north of Dallas proper. The existing church building was small, outdated and no longer serving the ministry needs of the church. The City of Frisco had developed a new town center which spurred development in and around the central square area. As a part of that new central business district, a site was designated by the
city with the intention to have a very traditional feeling church constructed on it. This site became the new location for the Grace Frisco Church. The address of the new church is “Church Street”, which is a boulevard focusing on the front doors of the new church.
The church was designed in Georgian era architectural context, which fit well with the old-style downtown architecture nearby. The newly relocated campus was begun with a 30,000 sf Phase I installation that includes their new Worship Center along with connection spaces, gathering spaces, a coffee area, administration facilities and a 2-story education building. The new Worship Center has highly devloped technical systems that includes enhanced lighting, acoustics and sound systems that well fit their worship sytle. The Phase II expansion will include additional education space and a large fellowship hall. Being in a well-planned city center, city provided parking areas and garages are adjacent to the site – which allows for expansion on the property literally from sidewalk to sidewalk.
